{Relaxed Plaid}

Hey Guys!

If you don't know, I live in Virginia. With that being said, the weather here is nothing short of bipolar! One day its snowing, then the following day it will be 75 degrees o_0! To combat this crazy weather, I opted for something cozy and nothing says cozy like a chunky knit sweater which is also a turtleneck which only adds to the comfort. These pants....what can I say? I ABSOLUTELY love them, and have since I picked them up....just cool. Even cooler was the price at under $5.  What wasn't such a cool price was this dern Ruby Woo lipstick from MAC, at a whopping $15 I almost went comatose. All I kept thinking was the many outfits I could have gotten at the thrift store for that lol, hey I guess I should "treat myself"

{ROYALTY}

Hi Everyone!!

I always find great pieces at the Thrift store, and these magnificent pieces are no exception.  Everyone that knows me, knows that I can't pass up a pattern; also I'm keen on skirts of the fitted variety.  So naturally, this aztec print shirt and maxi skirt were right up my alley.

I have been wearing my hair like this for almost a week now, it reminds me of a crown. The color purple is associated with the regal and high class; so I found it only fitting that I wear it being the Queen I am :)

Hello my lovelies!!!!!

Its been quite sometime, I know, I know. Between my new job and regular day activities, the day is not even mine anymore SMH hence the lack of posting! However, I'm back! :) On a thrift outing, I ran across these lovely paisley pants and upon further inspection they were CORDS and I adore corduroy! Everything about these pants, says STATEMENT so I treated them in such a fashion; wearing minimal colors and dainty earrings. I wore this to brunch and shopping.

Emerald+Oxblood

Hola Peeps!!

This week has flown by, too fast for my liking! Although, I'm always thrilled for the weekend, with unexpected yet fun times with my good friends!! Speaking of friends we all went out friday, Chipotle and a movie night, can you say FUN! I love my girlies! 

Ok, so onto the outfit.  As you may know, Ox blood is a big "trend" for fall (although I don't follow trends) I do love this color on my lips! Also, following trends happens to be this beautiful emerald color.  This blazer, a gift from my friend, that fits me perfectly and compliments my skin tone.  It was a little gloomy out so I threw on this hat from the thrift, also is  my first time wearing it lol.

ANORAK...

Hey homeslices,

So you all may know that the Anorak is among the many fall essentials for your wardrobe! I happen to pick this baby up last year, at the Salvation Army! I love the length of it, so much I wore it as a dress lol  I love this utilitarian vibe! 

The belt and necklace echoed the same vibrations so I threw them on. Early fall dressing is thee best, effortless :)

Hey!!!

Here's another black outfit, although not completely black. I saw this striped turtleneck in target like last year around the same time, and I said to myself, "I like this top, but not the price".  Needless to say I didn't get it, However being the thrifty that I am, I found one at le thrift for like a $1.50! What's funny is that it happened to be target brand lol! So, I do love stripes, just as much as the next person, although I think MIME when I see black and white stripes.  No matter, I embrace the theatrics minus the silence :)

Fall...

Fall is here guys!!!( well, its been here) lol 

This is by far my favorite season, why you ask, the weather, colors and of course Layering! 

Recently, My sugar mama Meredith (one of my best friends) treated me to two pairs of shoes!!!! I know, crazy right!? 

I love the three contrasting straps, it makes me feel, fancy... lol Oh, and I made this skirt from a dress that was ill fitting, I love repurposing! The combination of the skirt and jean vest echoes the color scheme of the shoes, for a nice pulled together fall look. 

P.s- I know this isn't a hair blog, however this was my first time trying a wash and go. I don't know how I feel about it quite yet. I like the curl definition, but not the shrinkage! lol
