Black Power...

Hey Friends!!

Me being a colorful person by nature, I always have color on and despised the idea of an all black outfit. Let me tell you, I underestimated the sheer power black gives off! It felt weird at first to step out in all black, however once I did, I loved it!! The level of chicness this outfit echoes is unbelievable.  Dare I say, I love it! I fully intend on putting more all black outfits in my rotation! I wanted to maintain the crispness of this look, so minimal accessories are best, I went for my trusty bronze earrings that echo the hardware on my overcoat.

Forced Peplum...

Happy Friday!!!

Summer is dwindling down my friends, so I'm trying to wear all my fun bright colors now before its too late! I have always been fond of the Peplum silhouette, and since I don't really own any, I decided to create one! I just took a basic white sleeveless button up and tied it up over an eyelet tank, and wahlah, there you have it a peplum blouse! I loved how it turned out, don't you?

This is my first time wearing this lovely skirt given to me by my lovely friend, Bianca! (Thanks B!) I love the colors, and the beautiful florals. Are you ready for summer to end?

Fatigued...

Hola!

I thrifted this fatigued jacket a while ago, since then I had only worn it once! So I HAD to take this baby out for a spin since the weather was cooler yesterday. I always loved the juxtaposition between hard and soft, manly and feminine qualities; so I decided to play them up in this outfit.  The dress being the base of my outfit adds the softness, and the jacket just sprinkles the roughness that pulls the look together. :) I wouldn't be me if I didn't have some color in there somewhere, so I added this DIY ruffle brooch.

Chevron & Scallops

Hey you guys!

So lately I've been hit with a dilemma, I can't fit any of my clothes! Those skirts that fit just "right", now require a quick safety pin remedy -_-  I not going to complain though, at least I'm losing instead of gaining. I began to rummage through my tops to find this oversized chevron sweater, that I had not worn in ages!  Today, I decided to wear it as a dress, yes it was short but don't you fret I had shorts underneath :) I kept it simple with the jewelry and shoes for a boho chic feel. Oh and how lovely are these scalloped edges? 

It's 10:42 on a Thursday night, So I guess I'll say it
