Fatigued...

Hola!

I thrifted this fatigued jacket a while ago, since then I had only worn it once! So I HAD to take this baby out for a spin since the weather was cooler yesterday. I always loved the juxtaposition between hard and soft, manly and feminine qualities; so I decided to play them up in this outfit.  The dress being the base of my outfit adds the softness, and the jacket just sprinkles the roughness that pulls the look together. :) I wouldn't be me if I didn't have some color in there somewhere, so I added this DIY ruffle brooch.

Chevron & Scallops

Hey you guys!

So lately I've been hit with a dilemma, I can't fit any of my clothes! Those skirts that fit just "right", now require a quick safety pin remedy -_-  I not going to complain though, at least I'm losing instead of gaining. I began to rummage through my tops to find this oversized chevron sweater, that I had not worn in ages!  Today, I decided to wear it as a dress, yes it was short but don't you fret I had shorts underneath :) I kept it simple with the jewelry and shoes for a boho chic feel. Oh and how lovely are these scalloped edges? 

It's 10:42 on a Thursday night, So I guess I'll say it

Cloudy with a chance...

Hey guys! 

I have returned!!!! Mwwwwahhhhaaa<---- thats my evil laugh lol 

So, I've been under the weather for what seems like FOREVER! It started with crazy migraines, then one morning I woke up and the migraine was gone, but my phalanges looked like sausages and my joints ached with pain! I took some med's and I'm feeling much better now! 

So enough about my ailments.  I wasn't aware that it would rain today, it was still warm so I decided to go with this little number!! Something about this blouse makes me think clouds, so it was appropriate for the impending rain. Oh and I finally get to debut my new vintage Coach bag!!  It reeks of cigarettes ( which I'm desperately trying to get out!) its beautiful none the less though!

Thrift Tip Thursdays!

So, I wanted to give Tips to thrifting if you may be a novice thrifter or just want new information. These tips every thursday, will help you when peruse the infinite rows of clothes at Le Thrift!

Tip #1 TRY ON EVERYTHING!! I repeat try on everything! I know what you're thinking... why try it on when the size is right there? Well guys, most things at the thrift store is from different era's, so a size 14 from the 50's may in fact fit your size 10 frame! Consider this my lovelies, if you like it, TRY IT ON! :)

Hola guys!!!!

This dress is hot! (if you couldn't tell by the title) Although, I'm a Texas Pete type of gal :) 

The temperature is still dialed to Hell fire here in VA, so what better way to combat that then a nice airy , flowy, light dress?

I first wore this beauty, when I went to New York for the first time, last summer!! I just love how effortless it was, and chic at the same time. I found this some time ago at the Salvation Army I believe, for $2!! :) I tied up the front to add some flair, and threw my favorite clutch in for good measure.
